Took this in the company Cafe

At my sister’s party 2 weeks ago,  I finally opened the wine that Joe had given me as a gift almost 2 years ago when he came over for dinner.  Surprisingly, everyone loved the wine.  At first, I was not going to drink any at all. After hearing all the great appraisals. I tried some myself. For someone who doesn’t really know how to enjoy wine, I too liked it.   

It was kind of dry, usually I do not like dry red wine. But with this wine, it felt so easy to take it in with a such richnesss and creamy taste. (this is as far as I can go with wine )

After the guests left, I went on to the internet to find out more about this wine and hoping to order some online. I found its pruducer’s web site.

THE WINE

Montlobre  is  a  concentrated  Merlot wine  blended  with Cabernet-Sauvignon grapes  ,  matured  on  wood.The   vineyards  of  the   domain produce sound, quality wines, with the emphasis on the Merlot grape.
The unique location and composition of the vineyard – Merlot with 15% Cabernet – provides a very subtle and characteristic grape juice year after year. Production is limited to between 40 and 50 hectolitres per hectare, making Montlobre an extremely concentrated wine with a broad structure.
Montlobre characteristics are: harmony; rich, creamy, broad fruit and soft oak tannins. This is a full wine made using the ripest Merlot juice, with a structure suitable for laying down.

Unfortunately, I could not find any of the U.S. online liquor stores who carry the wine, nor did the local stores I had been to…. I asked Joe if he knows where to buy it, turns out  he got it as a gift from his wife’s previous boss, they had move back to England a year ago…..   

The one we had was made of the year of 1999

I will write more about this trip tomorrow.  Sooooo tired and every inch of my body hurts now :-(
